A Red Empress

Red Empress - Many hours

I started on the Red Empress speedpaint and I was enamored with an idea for the painting and decided to make it a full blown painty project. At the end I still didn't finish it mostly cause I couldn't deal with how awful the male figure was turning out on the bottom and it didn't seem worth it to finish. I also would like to ask people to ignore the awful looking hands.... I don't know why that pinky looks like a thumb and I dunno how to fix it.

2 hrs of color work and refinement.  Based off of yesterdays grayscale but redefined for another topic.  I finished mostly within 1 hour but then decided it needed some more interest and added the snake and some more details.

I tried a much more "speed-painting" approach with this one. Tommy likey, Tommy want wingy!

Here is my take for the red empress. Wanted to try out some fun color mixing with some new brushes i just got. think it came out with a few good happy mistakes. Thanks

I saw some really wide aspect ratio stuff earlier today so i figured i'd give it a go.  Not 100% sure my inspiration here, i did have a little mucha in mind as I painted but I wasn't truly trying to emulate him.

Today's music choice was the "curse of the golden flower" soundtrack.  That movie had some awesome visuals.

I just noticed her proportions are a little wonky.  I wanted to go long with her limbs, but there's some oddness for sure.

Busted the time budget on this one. Spent around 2 hours on it.

A Red Empress

Took quite a bit longer than 30, but this is just a small section of what I did. Going to actually try and finish this piece.
